STI Inventory was carried out as a continuous exercise to obtain updated and comprehensive STI strategic data in universities, government agencies, government research institution, and GLC/CLG on following modules in

2. Local Technology Market (TECHMart)
3. National Scientific Facility Equipment (NFSE)
4. R&D Project Bank
5. Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) Organisation

This was important as the numbers of STI strategic data has been steadily increasing over the years attributed to the growing number of STI organisation such as universities, centres of excellence and high-tech industries. Furthermore, the data is important for policymaker to formulate initiative or policy in the STI area.

STI Trends provides a wealth of qualitative and quantitative data geared towards recording the pertinent facts and figures based on STI reports conducted and published by MASTIC.

The studies are :

1. National Survey of Research and Development (R&D),
2. National Survey of Innovation,
3. National Bibliometric Study,
4. Public Awareness of STI Malaysia, and
5. Malaysian STI Indicators Report.
