Funding Scope:
1. Prototype Development Scope and Product Development Scope (Includes prototype/product improvement, purchase of raw materials, equipment, machines, mold preparation, and product packaging)
2. Scope of Product Diffusion (Includes testing, product validation, transportation, and logistics)
3. Scope of Branding (Such as Intellectual Property Registration-MyIPO, SIRIM, and business registration)
4. Scope of Promotion
(Preparation of promotional materials, website development, operation manuals, promotional videos, and offline and online marketing)
Applicants must complete the needed information on the website: www.magris.innomap.my by participating in the Grassroots Open Challenge (GOC) within a specified period.
However, In case the GOC Competition entry has been closed, applicants are allowed to send the proposal for the innovation product with photos and/or videos to email magris@yim.my.
1. Open to Malaysians (18 years old) individually or in groups.
2. Innovation must meet the definition of "Grassroots Innovation" as below:
(i) Innovative products or services developed aim to fulfill basic needs, overcome difficulties and life challenges for low-income groups, OR
(ii) Innovation led by low-income communities to achieve sustainable living that often has difficulty expanding to other markets.
3. Innovation products must be between TRL 3 - TRL 6 and has reached the prototype phase or is ready to be developed.
4. Innovations that are contested are original Ideas or improvements from existing innovations.
