Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Foresight is a forward-looking approach aimed at identifying future trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field of STI. This approach is not merely predictive, instead, it emphasizes the development of scenarios and policy options that can help the government, industry, and society formulate decisions in a more prepared, strategic, and resilient manner.
In this context, MASTIC serves as the national STI information center by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data through various national surveys and STI indicators. The evidence-based analysis produced serves as a crucial foundation for the implementation of foresight studies by MOSTI, thereby strengthening national development policies and strategies toward a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable economy.
