Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

which is also know as WebOPAC, PAC, WEVPAC, library catalog, and online catalog.

Our OPACs system generally contains records of all the items that are library catalogs and possesses a collection of materials specifically focused towards the topics of policies, management and indications of science, technology and innovation (STI).
Furthermore, there are also collections of materials in other fields such as management, motivation, religion and light reading materials.
The main collections of MOSTI Library are available in the forms of monographs, reports, journals, statistical data and research reports published by MOSTI.

MOSTI Library also collaborated as one of the consortium KIK (Katalog Induk Kebangsaan) managed by National Library of Malaysia.

Collection Categories

Open Shelf Collection

A collection of library materials that can be led by users. It consists of books, reports, annual reports of other ministries/agencies, light reading materials and serial materials which are magazines and journals in various types of fields.

Reference Collection

Reference collection refers to Encyclopaedias, Dictionaries, Acronyms, Vocabulary, Biography and Directories. These are uncirculated items, which can be referred within the library only.

Nadir Collection

Nadir Collection refers to publications issued before the 1990s and /or hard-to-get-away or have run out of print. It is also the heritage ministry as it contains valuable information for future references. The examples of these are collections such as First National Science and Technology Policy (1986-1989) and Annual Report of National Council for Scientific Research and Development (MPKSN) 1978-1979. Their collections are uncirculated items and to be used within the library only. Any enquiry please refer to Library Counter.

Serials Collection

Serials collections consist of titles in various subjects such as science and technology, management, language, economy, health and technology. Items in the serials collection are available in a variety of formats such as journals, magazines, newspapers, online databases and electronic journals.
