In this study, risk husk, combined with fiberglass and bonded with acrylic resin was used to produce biocomposite products.Biocomposite materials can be made into items such as plates,car parts or household fixtures. Padi planters may benefit from this innovation as they produce lots of rice husk.

SSMSS - School's Student Management System

The study was carried out in order to implement online database management system to cater student's records in schools in Pahang. The prototype of School's Student Management System (SSMSS) is built using the MySQL relation databse, together with PHP and Apache Web server. Among the benefits of SSMSS are; it could support multi-user simultaneously and facilitate quick response to queries, updates and reports. The web-based applications have made the SSMSS accessible to users in dispersed locations where it can be easily accessed by users via the Internet. Therefoe, the use of SSMSS has promotes more effective and efficient information sharing, record management and communications between teachers, students as well as parents. This new phenomenon will bring the concept where students' records would be no more content to the school's district. This new technology also would help the advancement of information technologies and communications in rural areas such in Jengka, Pahang. Future work will involve the collaboration with Ministry of Education (MOE) to enhance the features in SSMSS and to promote the use of SSMSS in schools around rural areas in Malaysia.

Palmor Pulp

In 2007, SPPT successfully built its own manufacturing plant to process Oil Palm Biomass termed as emptied fruit bunch (EFB) and converts it to pulp named as PALMOR PULP. The Palmor is derived from Originated Pulp.
Malaysia currently disposes approximately 15 million Metric Ton (MT) of EFB anually either through direct burning, mulching or landfill at the plantation area. With this PALMOR PULP plant, SPPT is able to contribute on the waste management area and at the same time offers a renewable and sustainable non-wood pulp to the pulp, paper, and related industries. With high awareness on environmental issues on a global scale, we strongly believe this EFB pulp is one of the solutions for a greener world.
