National Entrepreneur Global Propensity Index or NET @Gpi is an indicator measuring the level of propensity among Malaysian individuals to start a global business. Extensive literature review and expert opinions have resulted in the identification of 7 indicators. On a range of 1 to 6, with 3.5 as average, NET@GPI for Malaysian entrepreneur registered a 3.1 score. This score indicated that Malaysian entrepreneurs have rather low receptiveness to be involved in global business. The main drivers were Need for Achievements and Government Support, while major obstacles were Financial Accessibility, Innovativeness, International Orientation and Networking. These have major implications on entrepreneurship training and development programs, government policies, venture capitialists and private equity fund management.
