Scope of Funding

PRGS is a new program under FRGS. PRGS was created to help bridge the gap between laboratory discovery/research up to before the pre-commercialization stage with the purpose of creating new technologies, in line with the needs of K-Economy and the implementation of the New Economic Model.

Qualification Criteria
  1. The grant application must involve the production of one of the following:
    • Proof of concept
    • Evaluation
    • Up scaling
    • Pre - clinical testing
    • Field testing; and
  2. Prototype that impacts humanity and community for the purpose of improving the value of life in the country and the world; or
  3. Prototype with the potential to generate knowledge-based industries/new knowledge; or
  4. Prototype with the potential to contribute to the country's strategic agenda.
