METHANE EMISSION AT FLOODING AND AWD IRRIGATION ON RICE CROP IN GLASSHOUSE

This data has been obtained through the study on evaluation of methane emission in rice ecosystem under flooding and AWD water management. At the first week after 1 - 7 DAS, CH4 fluxes is almost same but have a significant drop in CH4 emissions from AWD was identified during the drying period with lagged emissions again after re-flooding (water refill). The gradual increase in CH4 emissions from flooded was observed only after about 40 - 50 days after transplanting. During Nitrogen fertilizer application, CH4 fluxes was increase at all split but as mention above lagged emission again after re-flooding on AWD irrigation after fertilizer application. On AWD at 12 – 20 DAS showed higher CH4 fluxes from other DAS. In the end of planting season, reducing of flooding for harvesting cause CH4 fluxes also reduce. The cumulative CH4 fluxes over growing season showed significantly different between flooded and AWD where cumulative fluxes at flooded is the highest. The significantly increasing of cumulative fluxes on flooded condition is when N fertilizer applied. AWD showed 57% of cumulative CH4 fluxes reduction.
