From 2006 to 2010, there was a steady increase in the number of PCT patents filed, with 2010 having the highest number of applications, at 327. The same steady growth is seen in forward citations from 2006 to 2009. From 2010, however, there is a steady decrease in the number of forward citations received, and correspondingly, in the forward citations per patent.
