International Conference on Agrotechnology, Food Science & Technology (ICAFST 2023) in conjunction with Festival Antarabangsa Agroteknologi 2023 (FAA 2023) held at the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE). ICAFST 2023 is the first collaboration between IBTE and Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (POLISAS) Kuantan, Malaysia. Kementerian Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi (MOSTI) adalah peneraju utama bagi Global Innovation Index (GII) di Malaysia sejak tahun 2017. Bagi mempertingkatkan prestasi negara dalam Laporan GII, Jawatankuasa Inter-Agensi Pemantauan Daya Saing GII (JIPGII) telah ditubuhkan untuk melaksanakan pelbagai inisiatif dan pemantauan secara sistematik dan berkesan untuk menaikkan kedudukan Malaysia dalam GII.

Mesyuarat Panel Khas Pemantauan dan Penilaian Prestasi Penjawat Pengurusan Tertinggi Perkhidmatan Awam (PPTPA) Bilangan 2 Tahun 2022 yang telah dipengerusikan oleh YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Zuki bin Ali, Ketua Setiausaha Negara telah bersetuju supaya Prestasi Malaysia dalam Laporan GII dijadikan sebagai salah satu indikator bagi Key Performance Indicator (KPI) PPTPA Tier 1.

Bagi mengukuhkan proses pemantauan secara berterusan bagi Laporan GII, MOSTI sedang dalam tindakan untuk mendapatkan maklumat berhubung inisiatif, program atau projek yang berkaitan dengan semua 81 indikator yang diukur dalam GII. Semua maklumat ini diperlukan bagi memantau prestasi setiap indikator dalam Laporan GII dan turut mengenal pasti pemilik data yang berkaitan.

OBJEKTIF:

1. Platform untuk verifikasi dan validasi maklumat Inisiatif, program atau projek yang dikemukakan oleh pembekal data;
2. Memberi pendedahan mengenai Sistem Model Data GII dan kaedah scorecard yang akan dibangunkan; dan
3. Menyediakan laporan hasil bengkel untuk makluman pengurusan tertinggi seterusnya akan dibawa untuk JIPGII.

Asian Centre for Research on University Learning and Teaching (ACRULeT) is a Research Interest Group at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The main objective of ACRULeT is to serve as a platform for research activities, publication and staff development. One of the major tasks for ACRULeT is organizing InCULT (International Conference on University Learning and Teaching), an international conference organized every two years. Thus far, the InCULT conference has been successfully conducted ten times in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2021. During all ten conference sessions, InCULT has successfully collaborated with several local and international strategic partners such as the Academy of Leadership of Higher Education (AKEPT), Taylor's University (Malaysia), University of South Australia (UniSA), University of Hertfordshire (UK), McWeadon Education (USA) and Ohio University (USA). In 2010, InCULT collaborated with the University of Hertfordshire to organize the conference in the United Kingdom, while in 2012, InCULT was successfully organized in Krabi, Thailand. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 10th InCULT conference was held for the first time virtually on December 1-2, 202i.

Over the years, InCULT has grown from strength to strength, and we now bring you the 11th InCULT to be held in Shah Alam between the 20 and 21st of June, 2023. InCULT 2023 will be held in a hybrid mode, hosting participants in person and online. The conference aims to bring together communities of higher education practitioners across diverse cultures and geographical locations to build national, regional and global research networks that advance technology in higher education. The diverse sub-themes promise participants an enriching experience. The conference also aims to provide practitioners a platform for presenting and publishing their scholarly work. The Official 16th Edition of Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, LIMA 2023. This biennial event is one of the largest maritime and aerospace exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific.

LIMA 2023, as The Nexus of Maritime and Aerospace Trade combines the best of the aerospace and maritime industries, will be set on the beautiful island of Langkawi, Malaysia. The exhibition will be held at Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) and Resort World Langkawi (RWL) respectively from 23rd May until 27th May 2023. Three days of the week will be open to Trade Visitors and two of the last week will be open to Public Visitors.

Sempena Sambutan Hari DNA sedunia, pihak UMBI ingin mengambil kesempatan ini untuk menganjurkan Hari DNA dan Terbuka UMBI sedunia untuk memperkenalkan dan memberi pendedahan berkaitan sains dan teknologi secara amnya dan bidang penyelidikan berkaitan DNA dan perubatan, khususnya. Bengkel Due Diligence ini merupakan pengisian inisiatif utama Tahun Pengkomersialan Malaysia (Malaysia Commercialisation Year, MCY) bagi mengukur tahap kesediaan pengkomersialan Produk/Teknologi/Perkhidmatan hasil R&D dan Inovasi tempatan.                              

Produk/teknologi/perkhidmatan yang berpotensi sebagai KPI Khas MCY akan disenaraikan untuk penganugerahan MCY. Multifunctional marine spatial planning can help countries optimize the use of space, deliver multiple benefits, and use their resources more efficiently. To achieve this, marine geoinformation, seabed and coastal topography mapping is foundation. This provides the interdependencies of physical, chemical, and biological phenomenon which is essential for decision making. But there remain gaps in knowledge and resources are wasted on replicating data collection efforts. To increase the coverage, quality of and access to seabed mapping data collaboration is the key.
